This project was originally conceived in a moment of frustration concerning the spate of 'domestic space' galleries popping up across the north-west at that time. In practice it was an interesting way to investigate the notion of the gallery and the relationships between the work, the artist, the gallerist and the audience. At the same time it was a way to work with people I considered interesting.
The project ran for five exhibitions:
Jim Medway, 10 Sept – 12 Oct 2003
John Mullen, 12 Nov – 10 Dec 2003
Ryan Gander, Dagger of the Mind. 16 Jan – 20 Feb 2004
Matt Wand, The World is waiting for the Sunrise. 10 Mar – 9 Apr 2004
Oliver East, Looking for Kinder Scout: Eight Walks. 12 May – 11 June 2004
