A question of documentation...

I have had a few conversations recently about my posters and whether they constitute proper documentation or not. Here are my thoughts...


I do not present my posters as a solution to a perceived problem with the convention of documenting performance, or any other temporal event, with photography or film. I do, however, think that that convention is very heavily entrenched, particularly at art school. 
I simply present my posters as an equally valid, (and equally flawed), alternative. One that suits me and one that has the added advantage, by nature of it being different, of raising the question of whether it is suitable method of documentation. All methods of documenting are problematic, I choose one that is less conventional in order to acknowledge, question and celebrate that. 
I will continue to do so...

Unrehearsed Rope Escape #2

After being securely bound with over 45 metres of rope, to the satisfaction of all present, I was assisted into the passenger lift at ECA, whereupon, after final checks, I made my escape in 3 minutes and 50 seconds.
